Telecommunications Consultant
Who we are
As a leading consultancy in dedicated broadband markets,
bmp TELECOMMUNICATIONS CONSULTANTS GmbH (bmp TC) offers
strategic and operational consulting: fact-based visions
for the telecommunications sector. Our clients include
network operators, incumbents and alternative carriers,
service providers and manufacturers. Our core competency
is in international projects involving the marketing and
strategy issues surrounding the internet and the
broadband local loop (e.g. xDSL, Power Line, cable modem,
Wireless LAN). With a variety of exciting, complex
projects coming on, we are seeking to recruit several
Junior Telecommunications Consultants.
Job description
You work with experienced consultants in all aspects of
their tasks and quickly acquire know-how and competency
in the issues that we work on. Our clients are
international, but you will be based in Duesseldorf and
do most of your work in Germany. Depending on who our
client is, these are examples of assignments:
- Perform a market
analysis and make preparations for product roll-out
for a equipment manufacturer
- Analyze equipment
manufacturers, compare their products, make
purchasing / leasing recommendations
- Evaluate positioning
opportunities / investigate regulatory questions in
defined European xDSL markets
- Plan and realize
Business-to-Business and Business-to-Customer
product promotion
- Make a market entry
study / establish market contacts / develop a
distribution strategy for a supplier of TC solutions
/ TC hardware
- Arrange /
participate in workshops, lectures, publications,
...
Requirements:
- A university degree
in economics, business engineering,
telecommunications engineering or a related field
- Job experience in
Telecommunications / Consulting; ideally you have
worked both within a telco company (as a product
manager etc.) and as a trainee.
- Good communication
and interpersonal skills
- Very good knowle
- dge of German,
English and/or French; other languages are welcome:

- The skill to
organize and structure projects and the ability to
complete them with visible results
- Precision in detail,
accuracy in fact, yet have a view of the larger
picture
- Familiarity with the
market situation and technical characteristics of
the competing broadband technologies, their
possibilities and their limitations, and the ability
to keep up with new developments
